Moodstream is a fantastically powerful “brainstorming tool” from Getty Images that is “designed to help take you in inspiring, unexpected directions”.

By tweaking the sliders, you can choose between images, footage, audio, or just a stream of fresh ideas that will bring a whole new creative palette straight to you.

The concept is actually pretty interesting, and the end result is inspiring and interesting in an advanced screensaver sort of way, so it’s definitely worth a look.

Facebook as a story telling medium is a new and interesting concept. Here’s the story of a modern day romance with Facebook’s News Feed used as the narrative device:

(Just make sure to read it top to bottom, not bottom to top like it would be on Facebook.)

We all know that the real estate market is really bad right now, but apparently it’s also very difficult time for finding love.

So, single mom and real estate agent Devon Traboscia came upon a brilliant (or brilliantly crazy) idea of selling her house … and herself on eBay and Craigslist:

In the ad, Traboscia writes:

“If you want to live the never ending dream and experience the real love, life and the romance you have always felt was a fairytale then this is the vibrant outstanding woman of your dreams! To sweep this European Loving Lady off her feet send in your application right now.”

She goes on to say that her four bedroom, 2,000 square-foot home, that will be included in the deal, has “neutral colors, Berber carpet, and upgraded tile”.

Wearing a sunglasses doesn’t help to cover your face from paparazzi. But this does help, the anti-paparazzi glasses. It has two infrared LEDs fixed on the frames and the cables run to the earpieces and they were powered by two button batteries. When you put on these glasses, they press against the batteries making those two lights glow. It is undetected to human eye but bright enough to distort your face for security / paparazzi cameras. Nikon D700 D-SLR A 12.1 effective megapixel FX format (AKA Full Frame) DSLR capable of up to 8 fps when using the optional MB-D10 Multi Power Battery Pack.

Imaging pipeline: A 12.1 (effective ï¾– meaning image making) megapixel 23.9x36mm Nikon FX-format CMOS using 8.45 micrometer (micron) pixel pitch cells with a low signal-to-noise ratio and wide dynamic range (about 12 stops in the D3). A 12-channel readout for faster information transfer allows for a 5 to 8 full size, full resolution FPS rate (see more details below). ISO range: nominally 200-6400 + down to ISO 100 (Lo-1) and up to ISO 25,600 (Hi-2). D700 will deliver D3 image quality for slightly more than half the price.

Viewfinder: A .72x magnification eyelevel viewfinder utilizing a high refractive index pentaprism (I assume made of glass elements) with a 95% frame coverage. A framing grid can be super imposed on the finder screen per a photographerï¾’s preferences of format size.

Shutter: Shutter curtains are formed of a Kevlar and carbon fiber composite hybrid material. This shutter has already been tested on full y assembled cameras through at least 150,000 cycles. Shutter unit has a self-diagnostic unit, which constantly monitors shutter performance to maintain precision.

Body Construction: The camera body, rear body and mirror box are made from a high-strength magnesium alloy. Connection points in the body are weather sealed with precision O-rings to keep out dust and moisture.

Battery: same as the D300: Nikon EN-El3e

Start up, shutter lag times, buffer size and write speed: Start up from off is accomplished in .12 seconds. Shutter lag response time is 0.40 milliseconds. Nikon claims these makes the D700 currently the fastest in its class.

Full Resolution JPEGS: up to 5 frames per second (FPS) or up to 8 FPS with the optional MB-10D for up to 100 frames. NEFs 17 14 bit per channel lossless compressed NEFS.

With the new high speed UDMA CompactFlash cards camera to media write speed is up to 35 megabytes per second.

Auto-focus: The D700 uses Nikonï¾’s Multi-CAM 3500FX autofocus sensor module with 15 cross-type sensors and 36 horizontal sensors that can be used individually or in groups. In Single Area or Dynamic AF modes, users can select groups of 9, 21, or all 51 focus points. The system also utilizes 3D Focus tracking with automatic focus point switching using all 51 points in conjunction with the metering systems 1,005 pixel RGB sensor to accurately track moving objects using color content and light information.

Self Cleaning mode: a first for a Nikon FX format camera, The self-cleaning system uses 4 distinct vibration frequencies to shake off dust particles from the cameraï¾’s low-pass filter. System is activated at start up, shut down, or on demand. Additionally the interior of the mirror box and the whole of the shutter mechanism are made of materials that inhibit debris creation in the first place. Active D-lighting: Active D-Lighting lets photographers choose from various intensities during capture, while a new Automatic mode also applies varying levels of D-Lighting as, and when needed, to enhance photos while shooting. Active D-Lighting uses localized (very localized: as in on the individual sensor pixel) tone control technology to further optimize highlight and shadow detail while also maintaining natural contrast, giving photographers the ability to make better exposed photos, even in difficult lighting conditions. LCD monitor: A 3-inch (diagonal) 920,000-dot VGA TFT LCD display covered with tempered glass features a 170-degree viewing angle.

Live View and working tethered:Live View Hand held mode uses the TTL phase detection AF utilizing all 51 AF points and allows the photographer to reframe the image prior to making the photo.

Live View Tripod mode is for very precise focusing accuracy with the camera mounted on a tripod with still subjects. Focal plane contrast detection AF can be activated on any desired point with in a specific area. (Note: Using tripod mode Live View on the D3 I use the camera in manual focus mode and enlarge the preview on the LCD monitor if not working tethered to a computer using Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 software.)

Also new is the ability to superimpose the Virtual Horizon feature over the Live View monitor image.

The camera also outputs a video signal to an HD television using the new smaller HDMI-C standard, which clients will certainly appreciate.

Here’s a video showing you how to create the LED eagle eye rings for your car. That is really awesome, just looks like the one in bimmer. What we called that, angel eye, eagle eye or something. Huh, look pretty much the same. Video after the break.

The reflective tape upgraded to the ring is to make it brighter and stand out better. This simple little trick traps the otherwise lost light that would have escaped into the reflective bowl, causing irregular light pattern inside the headlamp which blends out the ring. It’s not about having the brightess ring; it’s about making it stand out and doing it cheap. LED is the way to go.

The ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition is fighting for its survival, and the leadership struggle has witnessed a seemingly unending series of intrigues and plots.

WHEN text messages began circulating late on Saturday evening that an aide of former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim had lodged a police report accusing him of sodomy, Malaysians were stunned.

It brought back memories of 1998, when Datuk Seri Anwar faced exactly the same accusations. That sparked an upheaval which changed Malaysia’s politics in ways that were impossible to foresee then.

Now, it would appear that Malaysia has come back to exactly the same point; just like a decade ago, Mr Anwar now faces sensational accusations just when his star is rising and seems unstoppable.

Ten years ago, then prime minister Mahathir Mohamad sacked Mr Anwar, his deputy and heir apparent, on the grounds that he had sodomised several of his employees, who had reported the alleged deed.

Today, it is an aide – some say he was no more than a party volunteer – Mr Saiful Bukhari Azlan, 23, who is claiming that the opposition leader had sodomised him, without his consent…. Read More

is a great documentary showing how the sneaker culture came to be. Showing its foundations in hip-hop with Run DMC up to 50 cent with RBK, the influence of Michael Jordan and Nike, the dedication to sneaker hunting and collecting, and symbols the sneaker played in the cultures of the last 20 or so years. From an advertising point of view, it always reverts back to an honest view on how businesses have been able to capitalize on, and propel, the sneaker movement. I was able to edit some clips and make my own highlight reel of the film. Check it out:

Lala allows you to trade CDs that you no longer want with the one your heart desires. Once you are trade enabled simply list the CDs you own in your Have List and the CDs you’d like to receive in your Want List. When lala finds another member who is interested in one of your CDs, you will see a “Ship It” button next to the requested CD in your Have List. By clicking this button you will begin the process of agreeing to ship your CD to another Lala member. When Lala finds another member who is willing to send you a CD you want, you will be notified as soon as it’s on its way to you. How ingenious is this?

This is a unique kissing photo website created to promote the power of love one kiss at a time. My wife Terri and myself wanted to develop a community website that we could partner in together as a labor of love after three kids and twenty three years of marriage. We brainstormed about creating something positive that would brighten our day. It was our desire to provide a simple way for ourselves and others to post positive messages of love that would leave a lasting impression, so we focused on the power of a kiss in pictures.

There are romantic kisses, friendly kisses, animal kisses, artistic kisses, goofy kisses …
Creators Ray and Terri filter through the submissions with a tasteful sensibility – so it’s not tacky or NSFW.

My Best Wishes to Best Kisses!

Check out Nike’s most innovative soccer product changing the face of soccer boot design forever. When Nike designer Peter Hudson started sketching the lightest, fastest soccer boot possible , he quickly decided on one thing – no limits. Taking money, time and manufacturing considerations out of the equation was a specific decision that enabled the designer to break scientific boundaries, creating a boot made almost entirely of carbon fiber. Something which, until this point, had never been done before.

For Nike, the end results was the Mercurial SL : Nike’s most lightweight – with only 190 grams, most highly responsive yet flexible and strong soccer boot to date. A boot featuring only what’s needed without giving up any performance.
