When you look at the Braun products by Dieter Rams—many of them at New York’s MoMA—and compare them to Ive’s work at Apple, you can clearly see the similarities in their philosophies way beyond the sparse use of color, the selection of materials and how the products are shaped around the function with no artificial design, keeping the design “honest.”
This passion for “simplicity” and “honest design” that is always declared by Ive whenever he’s interviewed or appears in a promo video, is at the core of Dieter Rams’ 10 principles for good design:
• Good design is innovative.
• Good design makes a product useful.
• Good design is aesthetic.
• Good design helps us to understand a product.
• Good design is unobtrusive.
• Good design is honest.
• Good design is durable.
• Good design is consequent to the last detail.
• Good design is concerned with the environment.
• Good design is as little design as possible.

Good news to all Japanese, you guys will be able to buy the new ceramic white Playstation 3 in November 11. It will be priced at 39,980 Yen ($ 350), yeah for the 40GB version. All things remain the same except the position of AV terminals at the back, the shift of the hard drive to the center and obviously the white color. Looks like there a bit upgrades on the cooling unit as this one runs more quietly and efficiently.
I like the tissues.

Faceball is a game. At its simplest level Faceball involves two people hitting beachballs at each other’s faces. At a deeper level it’s a vehicle for the release of personal animosity, and the Shaming of the Weak.
Two people sit 10 feet apart. They take turns throwing a beachball aimed at their opponent’s face. Each hit to the face earns a point and the right to shoot again. The player with the most points after 5 rounds is the winner. Tied games are decided by a shoot out.
